Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
The short version: producers sell licenses to their beats, buyers get the rights written in their license, and everyone plays fair. Read the full terms below.
Who we are
BeatBed is an online marketplace where independent producers sell beats, kits and licenses to artists. BeatBed is run by BeatBed LLC, 202 N Cedar Ave, Ste #1, Owatonna, MN 55060, US. In these terms, “BeatBed”, “we” and “us” mean BeatBed LLC. “Producer” means someone who sells on BeatBed, “buyer” means someone who buys, and “you” means whoever is using BeatBed.
By creating an account or using BeatBed you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use BeatBed.
Accounts
- You must be at least 16 to create an account or buy. You must be at least 18 to sell, because payment providers require it.
- Give us true details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person, one account. If you think someone else got into yours, tell us straight away at support@beatbed.com.
Buying beats and licenses
When you buy a beat, you buy a license from the producer. You get the right to use the beat in the ways the license allows; you do not become its owner. What you may do with the beat (streams, videos, live shows, Content ID and so on) is written in the license you chose and in the license PDF we email you after checkout.
- The license terms for a beat are part of your deal with the producer. If they differ from these terms, the license terms win for that beat.
- An exclusive license takes the beat off sale. You can buy it at the producer’s set price or send them an offer.
- Prices are shown in USD. Taxes are added where the law requires.
- Digital files are delivered right away, so sales are generally final. The producer decides and pays for refunds, and is expected to refund when the files never arrive or do not work, are clearly different from how the beat was described, were charged twice, or the producer did not have the right to sell them. Contact the producer within 14 days. BeatBed does not refund a producer’s sales itself. Where consumer law gives you more rights, those rights still apply.
Selling on BeatBed
- You can only upload beats, kits and artwork that you made or have the full right to sell. No uncleared samples.
- You set your licenses and prices. You are the one granting the license to each buyer.
- Your plan (Starter, Creator, Pro or Pro+) decides what you can use, such as how many beats and licenses, stems, kits, offers, your own store and email tools. Plan prices and the trial are shown when you pick a plan, and you can change or cancel from your studio.
- BeatBed does not take a percentage of your sales on a paid plan.
- Buyers pay through your own payment account (Stripe or PayPal), so the money goes to you and BeatBed does not hold it. The payment provider charges its own processing fee and decides when you are paid under its own terms.
What is not allowed
- Selling or uploading work you do not have the rights to.
- Fake plays, fake reviews, or trying to cheat the marketplace.
- Anything illegal, hateful, or that harms other people.
- Trying to break, scrape or overload BeatBed.
- Copying a real artist’s voice with AI without their permission.
- Fraud, money laundering, or pretending to be someone else.
We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.
Licenses and copyright
Producers keep ownership of their beats. A buyer gets only the rights in their license. If you think something on BeatBed uses your work without permission, write to support@beatbed.com with what it is, where it is, and proof that it is yours, and we will look at it quickly.
Closing an account
You can close your account at any time. Licenses you already bought stay valid under their terms, even if you close your account or the producer closes theirs or removes the beat. Files you bought stay available to download from your library for at least 24 months. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you where we can.
Our responsibility
BeatBed is a marketplace. We work hard to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost income or indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months or $500, except where the law does not allow a limit (for example fraud, or death or injury caused by our negligence). Nothing here limits rights you have by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. When the change matters, we will tell you by email or on BeatBed before it starts. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, and disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Minnesota. Questions: support@beatbed.com.
